2026 City Council Elections: Certificate of the City Elections Official, Nominations, and Application for City Council

On Wednesday 08/12/2026, the City Elections Official presented the below Certificate of the City Elections Official to the City Council during a regular meeting of the City Council.

The City Council is now accepting applications for the 2-year City Council seat. If interested, please submit the completed application to citymanager@cityofportola.com or turn in the application at City Hall at 35 Third Ave, Portola, CA, 96122. Applications are also available at City Hall. The application form is also available below. 

Applications are due 12:00pm Monday August 17, 2026.

In order to apply, you must be a resident and registered voter of the City of Portola and at least 18 years of age to be considered for appointment to the City Council.

Applications will be reviewed by the City Council at a Special Meeting to be held Tuesday August 18 at 5:00pm. Applicants are encouraged to attend this meeting if possible.
